Agreement on launch of electronic service for transfers between Jordan and Egypt

The Jordan Post Company today signed an agreement with Bank of Alexandria on the facilitation of money transfer for the Egyptians reside in Jordan through offering instant transfers at the offices of the Company and the branches of Alexandria bank; totally 450 offices and branches around the two countries.

 

The signing of the agreement took place in the presence of Minister of Information and Communication Technology, and Minister of Public Sector Development HE Mrs. Shweikeh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Post Engineer Bassem Al-Rousan and Egyptian Ambassador to Amman Tariq Adel.

 

It was signed by Director-General of Jordan Post Dr. Khaled Deib Al-Lahham and Bank CEO Mr. Dante Campioni.

 

On this occasion, Dr. Lahham said: “The agreement comes in line with the vision and 2017-2017 strategic plan of Jordan post since both require the Company to provide creative solutions of instant money services for citizens and residents in Jordan and Egypt.”

 

He stated: “Through this agreement, Jordan Post provides a bundle of instant money transfer services of different types, wide geographical reach, affordable prices and maximum safety, confidentiality and compliance with related global laws.”

 

“The agreement confirms to our clients the Company’s commitment to keep up with the developments of global post and finance markets through implementing the post single-window service (for electronic mail and financial services). This highlights our leading position in the Jordanian post industry and opens modern and comprehensive avenues that focus on providing the client with the comfort of the service from one place” he pointed out.

 

He added: “Jordan bank chose Alexandria Bank as a partner for being one of the banking leaders in Egypt. It owns 170 branches managed by 5 thousand employees and has 1.5 million clients. This makes it a perfect choice for a strong partnership that benefits the client through providing trust and safety and quality services with competitive prices in both countries.”

 

On the other hand, Mr. Campioni expressed his pride of signing the agreement with Jordan post; pointing out to that: “The bank is characterized by the diversity of its banking products and services and financial solutions offered to reach a wide-range base of clients in all sectors, businesses, companies, SMEs and retails. This supports the Egyptians working in Jordan and directly contributes to the current and future Egyptian economy by adding more value through implementing development plans and national projects.”

Of his part, Executive Director of Retail Banking and Small Projects in Alexandria Bank Sharief Loqman said: “The agreement completes the efforts made by both sides of their own desire to provide the Egyptians reside in Jordan with valuable services by facilitating their money transferred to Egypt.”
