Post and Customs discuss the introduction of early electronic disclosure system CDS

A meeting was held at the headquarters of the Jordanian Post Company between the Director General of the Jordanian Post Company Dr.KhaledDeib Al-Laham and Director General of Customs, Major General Waddah Al-Hamoud, during which they discussed several common issues of mutual concern. The meeting was attended by a number of directors in both institutions.

The meeting dealt with cooperation in the field of upgrading the inspection services and facilitating the clearance of postal items and parcels as well as the application of customs exemptions allowed by law, as well as the implementation of electronic disclosure systems using the global CDS system approved by the Universal Postal Union and the World Customs Organization, which will be applied in 2019 in many countries, knowing that it will be compulsory in March 2020, which saves time and effort on the citizen, in addition to approval of quantity, number and weightobtained by the Customs Department.
