On Tuesday, Jordan Post marked the 20th anniversary of the arrival of His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin El-Hussein to the throne.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors Eng. Bassem Al-Rousan sponsored the celebration in the presence of the Jordan Post Director General Dr. Khaled Deeb Al-Lahham. Eng. Bassem stated during the celebration that the ninth of June 1999, the day His Majesty King Abdullah II came to the throne, is an eternal day and a shining spot in the history of the Modern Jordanian state.
He added that since His Majesty’s accession to the throne, he has been devoting his efforts to the establishment of state institutions, achieving comprehensive and sustainable development, establishing the foundations of strong relations with Arab and Islamic countries and supporting the global peace process. His Majesty also continued to consolidate brotherly ties with Arab Countries to achieve the best forthe people.
Eng. Bassem Al-Rousanfurther pointed out that King Abdullah has been keen to give special attention to the services, economic and social sectors, as Jordan, under His Majesty’s leadership, has become a model of a strong and well-established state that follows scientific and practical plans to continue the process of comprehensive reform, strengthening of the social fabric, promoting effective citizenship, consolidating the principles of democracy and safeguarding human rights and promoting dialogue. His Majesty has alwaysbeen keen on improving the standard of living and improving the quality of services provided to Jordanian citizens.
The ceremony, attended by the Directors of the Post Directorates in the governorates, the Director of Post Office Customs, Postal institutions and a number of the company’s employees, included Entertainment paragraphs and National songs presented by the Greater Amman Municipality Band.
